When it comes to my painting and textile design, it’s no secret that I prefer cool colors to warm tones. If I’m not reaching for the black (or a nice cool grey), I’m grabbing my favorite shades of teal, aqua, turquoise, and green.
I’m not averse to warm colors, but it’s unlikely you’ll see me reaching for reds and pinks anytime soon. (It’s just not my style.) Instead, if I’m going warm, it’s golden yellows, oranges, and bronze (admittedly my current favorite metal color).
And when it comes to neutrals, I tend to find blacks, white, and greys much more interesting than tans and taupes. But when you pair those tans and taupes with black, grey, and some nice warm tones, the result is an outfit that even I can get behind.
