We may be having a bit of a heat wave here (91 yesterday!) but the mornings and evening are starting to feel like fall. This outfit reminds me of something I would have worn back when I had my first university teaching job, when I first started graduate school. Trying to look professional (especially when many of my students were older than me) while teaching in a messy metalsmithing studio definitely had it’s challenges, and I developed a few style rules for myself on the days I was teaching. (Like no jeans, even though they were allowed.) It’s funny to me how I’m now seeing styles that remind me of things I wore almost 15 years ago! (Like the return of wide leg pants.) Now if only I had kept those clothes from my first semester of grad school!
