A few days into the challenge, a friend of mine hinted that she thought we’d see a leather jacket coming up in the future. And while it seems like an obvious choice, I’ve never really been a leather jacket wearer. And since one of the rules I set for this challenge is that I’m trying not to buy anything new, I figured it wouldn’t happen. But then I remembered this faux leather jacket I had bought years ago for a model photo shoot.
I’m not exactly sure why, but wearing a leather jacket doesn’t quite give me the same badass feel as donning a black jumpsuit. (Though adding a bold Contra necklace certainly helps.) Still, I like that it gives me another jacket option for the challenge, and I’m envisioning mixing it with a few other pieces as the challenge goes on. (And I have to get even more creative with my layering!)
About the challenge: I’m styling this grey wrap dress a different way every day for thirty days. Read more about the challenge (and how I’m aiming for creative style with constraints) in this post.
