Sharing the pics with more dramatic lighting yesterday reminded me that I’ve still got images from my trip to Nashville last month to share! Like these, which are full of drama!
Megan in the garden with statement earrings, part 2
I mentioned in my last post that I’ve got some images in the garden that I’m really excited to share and here they are! (Ok, I’ve got a lot more than this! But I didn’t want to wait anymore to share these!) When I knew I was going to take pictures on my trip to Nashville, I knew I had to wear my favorite black and white dress! And I’m so glad I did! The patterns on the dress combined with these massive monstera leaves are just perfect! And of course, I couldn’t resist pairing it with some earrings from my Chroma collection!
block print kaftan and new rose gold threader hoop earrings
Last year, I was on the phone with my friend Brigitte and told her I was thinking about buying this block-printed kaftan from one of my favorite Indian brands, Anokhi. She replied, “I feel like you’d be living your best life in that.” Which is exactly how I felt wearing it at the beach this past week with my new Virage Threader Hoop Earrings in rose gold.
my favorite black and white dress and new gold threader hoop earrings
Last weekend we went camping at the beach (well technically, the bay beach) and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to put on my favorite black and white dress and take a few pictures of my new Verdant Threader Hoop Earrings in 14-kt gold filled.
the perfect black and white dress in Palm Springs
It’s been more than a month since I came back from Palm Springs but I’ve still got some images to share. Like this gorgeous black and white dress I picked up on the trip and then photographed myself wearing at my hotel with the Ada earrings.
one jumpsuit, three necklaces
I don’t know about you, but after over a year of living in sweatpants and only occasionally making my top half look presentable for Zoom meetings, I’m looking forward to the possibility of putting together whole outfits again in the near future! And to get ready for that future, today I thought I’d share how three different necklaces look with my favorite black jumpsuit!
dressing up in comfort: floral midi skirt and colorful chain necklace
Since the pandemic started, I can count the number of times I’ve dressed up on one hand. (And I can count the number of times I’ve worn jeans on one finger.) It’s safe to say, I’ve fully embraced all things comfort when it comes to my wardrobe. I mean, my day to day has been pretty much running shorts, joggers, and leggings for years now (that’s what happens when you spend your days jumping between working in the studio and coaching high school cross county and track) but now that I’m going almost nowhere (thanks pandemic), it seems my comfy clothes are officially here to stay.
five ways to wear two Modular necklaces
I designed the Modular Collection to be versatile and playful, so I figured it was about time I started making videos to show how fun these necklaces really are!
yes you can… wear the same dress on more than one trip!
I’m still in the process of editing photos from my trip to Savannah last month (it’s been a busy few weeks) and I wanted to share a few I took in this cream floral print dress. You might remember it as the same dress I wore in Nevis last fall.
That’s right, you can wear the same dress on more than one trip, even if you’re planning on photographing it for the Internet. (Of course, if you followed along during my one dress, 30 ways challenge a few years ago, you already knew I felt that way.)
But I always feel like it’s helpful in this age of social media influence to remind people that it’s ok to wear a dress more than once. Especially if you freaking love the dress, like I do, especially when paired with my Petale earrings and Fleurir pendant.
on evolving my aesthetic and embracing pattern and color (again)
Somewhere in the evolution of my jewelry brand, people started thinking of me as a minimalist. Not in the throw away all your stuff sense (because we all know THAT will never happen) but in the design sense of the word. Paired down. Simple. Clean lines. Not a lot of excess. Mostly black white and grey. Etc, etc.
Which is pretty ironic for a girl whose MFA thesis explored floral patterned textiles in the domestic interior.
