I’ll admit that since I released the Essaint collection, I’ve been rocking the various earring styles almost exclusively in silver. Because while steel has my heart from a makers perspective, it doesn’t show up that well against my darker hair. (Which is why I’m jealous of all those women with amazing grey or white hair, because the steel pops beautifully against it. Same goes for blondes.)

But the other day, I tossed on a white t-shirt, pulled my hair half back, threw on a red lip, and suddenly I am OBSESSED with the Verdant statement earrings in black steel.

My sister and her dog, Toots (who you might remember from this post and this post) have been visiting me this past week, and I couldn’t resist snapping a few pics of my new Virage statement earrings on them.

Ok, the earrings are on my sister, not the dog. But when you’re super into rocking black earrings with a white t-shirt, it helps if you’ve got a color-coordinated dog at hand to complete the look!

As I mentioned in my last post, I was in New York earlier this month to do a wholesale pop-up. And one of my favorite parts of that show was getting to watch lots of people try on my new statement earrings. And that includes my showmate Kimberly from Porcelain & Stone who spent an entire day rocking the new Verdant statement earrings in bronze!

I’m knee deep in prep for my next wholesale show (a pop-up at the Yotel during NY Now with five other jewelry designers), in case it wasn’t obvious from the disaster that is my studio. And even though I’ve still got some sample of my best-sellers to finish this week, I spent the last few days working on new earrings designs.

What can I say, these new statement earrings really inspired me to start playing even more!

Yesterday, I blew off everything on my to-do list to design these new statement earrings, and based on the response they are getting on Instagram, I’d say it was definitely worth my time. (Not to mention that I’ve been wearing them ever since!)
