It’s been more than a month since I came back from Palm Springs but I’ve still got some images to share. Like this gorgeous black and white dress I picked up on the trip and then photographed myself wearing at my hotel with the Ada earrings.
Palm Springs portraits
I spent the first week of February in Palm Springs. It was my first time on a plane since the start of the pandemic, which seems pretty appropriate because Palm Springs was actually the last trip I took before the pandemic started. (I was there about a week before everything in the US shut down.) A lot has changed since then – most notably my hair is MUCH longer – so I couldn’t resist recreating these images with the same kaftan and necklace, especially since I was staying at the same hotel.
one jumpsuit, three necklaces
I don’t know about you, but after over a year of living in sweatpants and only occasionally making my top half look presentable for Zoom meetings, I’m looking forward to the possibility of putting together whole outfits again in the near future! And to get ready for that future, today I thought I’d share how three different necklaces look with my favorite black jumpsuit!
work from home style: black jumpsuit and the botanically-inspired Ada pendant
I will admit that, ever since the pandemic started, my work from home style has gotten even more casual. So in an effort to get myself out of a bit of a style rut, I decided to revisit one of my favorite pieces from my wardrobe – my black linen jumpsuit.
Modular statement necklace in Palm Springs, Part 2
I’m still trying to catch up on sharing pics of my newest necklace collection from my trip to Palm Springs, um, eight months ago. (What can I say, it’s been a long year!)
This was an outfit I wore to Alt Summit (the conference I was attending) while on the trip, and I love how it all came together, with another dress from my favorite India brand, Nicobar, a jacket from Madewell that I’ve had for years, and this Modular statement necklace, which I just love.
Modular necklace in Palm Springs, part 1
Way back in March, right before the world shut down, I spent a very lovely week in Palm Springs. And while I blogged some of my favorite scenes from the trip, I got distracted and never shared the images I took of some of my jewelry while I was there! So I’m going to take a few days and share them now. (Better late than never, right?!?)
fresh flowers and simple statement earrings
For the last few months now, I’ve been making it a point to regularly buy myself fresh flowers. It’s such a simple thing, but it makes for an immediate mood boost. On the same day I took pictures for my last post, I couldn’t resist taking a few pictures with this lovely bouquet that I picked up (thanks to contactless pick-up) from my local coffee shop.
poppy season, striped vase, and stacking rings
Poppy season may be long gone (it’s always too short for me) but at least I have these pics I took of these pink poppies from my garden in my Elizabeth Benotti vase. (With my stacking rings in Bubble Gum, Light Raspberry, and Deep Ocean.)
new year, new plant, new(er) necklace
I definitely wasn’t feeling the most productive today (even when you love your job, starting work on the Friday after a holiday is TOUGH) so I decided to do a little impromptu photoshoot with a new plant I picked up yesterday and one of the new(er) necklaces in my Essaint Collection! I’m not setting new years resolutions this year, but if I was, I’m pretty sure it would involve more plants, more handmade ceramics, and more time designing new jewelry!
The plant is a neon pothos, the planter is by Elizabeth Benotti Ceramics, and the necklace is the Joie Necklace and it’s available now in my online shop!
holiday ring photoshoot: the beautiful + the slightly ridiculous
Last week (or maybe it was the week before, it’s all starting to blur together), I released a new batch of Contra Collection rings that were hiding in my studio. And I thought it would be fun to do an elegant photoshoot with some winter foliage, like this one from last month.
And while some of the photos did turn out that way, I also was clearly feeling a little extra (as evidenced by this first pic) and decided to roll with it! Which gives you a behind the scenes glimpse into a creative business owner who’s clearly feeling a little much as the holidays set in!
