One of the things I love most about my new Chroma collection is that it combines my love of painting and my love of jewelry, so I couldn’t resist photographing some of the new earrings in front of one of my paintings!
self-portraits with my plant wall
I’ve been a little obsessed with pinning portraits of people with plants on Pinterest. I came across some images of a woman standing in front of a wall of WallyGro planters and I thought, “hey, I have a wall like that in my studio!”
I originally planned to just take pictures in front of the wall with my Modular necklaces, but I couldn’t resist getting a little closer to one of my favorite plants, the Monstera adonsonii!
(almost) no-makeup portraits with plants
I had to laugh when I came across this article in the New York Times last week about how foundation is dead because a few days before, I took these pictures wearing only lipstick.
more self-portraits with plants and a sneak peek of the new Midi Modular Necklace
I’m not saying this is my favorite photo I’ve ever taken of myself, but I’m not NOT saying that. I will say that I had so much fun setting up this photo shoot to preview my new Midi Modular Necklace No. 1.
self-portraits with plants and Volupte threader hoop earrings
Sometimes you have an idea and you just have to go for it! I was watering my rhaphidophora tetrasperma (otherwise known as the mini monstera) and realized that the out-of-control vine it was growing was perfect for posing behind while I took some portraits wearing my new Volupte threader hoop earrings!
my favorite black and white dress and new gold threader hoop earrings
Last weekend we went camping at the beach (well technically, the bay beach) and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to put on my favorite black and white dress and take a few pictures of my new Verdant Threader Hoop Earrings in 14-kt gold filled.
Self-portraits with plants
Back in May, I bought this massive philodendron while visiting family in Delaware. And then I came home and had such a fun photoshoot with it. Partly because Patricia from Parima Studio and I are having a (joking) competition around photographing ourselves behind plants!
Palm Springs portraits
I spent the first week of February in Palm Springs. It was my first time on a plane since the start of the pandemic, which seems pretty appropriate because Palm Springs was actually the last trip I took before the pandemic started. (I was there about a week before everything in the US shut down.) A lot has changed since then – most notably my hair is MUCH longer – so I couldn’t resist recreating these images with the same kaftan and necklace, especially since I was staying at the same hotel.
new year, new (headshot) energy
I took these pics back in December when I was photographing some new Evident earrings, but somehow, they just didn’t feel right to share over the holiday season. Instead, I decided to hold off posting until January, because they definitely have a new year, new energy vibe that I am down for.
a few more selfies (um, I mean headshots) from Savannah
This weekend I’m heading off on another adventure (one where I’ll hopefully have lots of new pics to share when I get back). But before I go, I thought I’d share a few more selfies from my trip to Savannah last month.
Now I know when someone says selfie, you tend to think of quick snaps on your smartphone. But when it comes to taking pics of myself when I travel, I like to go all in on more traditional headshots, product shots, or lifestyle shots. (Which I share a little more about in this post.)
