I’ll admit that things have been pretty quiet here on the blog, but that’s because I’ve been working on putting sme pretty big projects out into the world!
First, I turned my ebook, Try It & See, into a physical book!

First, I turned my ebook, Try It & See, into a physical book!
I had an idea for this photoshoot that I’m referring to as “French librarian walks into a greenhouse” vibes, but it was also the perfect opportunity to show off the Petite Modular Necklace No. 1 + chain extender in four different lengths!
I bought this dress on a whim a couple of years ago, and it sat in my closet until this spring when I threw it on to go to a wedding. Since then, I’ve been in love with it. I wore it in the studio to photograph the new bronze Modular Necklaces. And I couldn’t resist wearing it in my backyard one morning to do another round of portraits with plants!
One of my favorite things about the Modular Collection is that you can connect different pieces together to have even more options. Like this long silver necklace, which is really the original Modular Necklace No. 1 connected to the new Midi Modular Necklace No. 1.
I’ve been a little obsessed with pinning portraits of people with plants on Pinterest. I came across some images of a woman standing in front of a wall of WallyGro planters and I thought, “hey, I have a wall like that in my studio!”
I originally planned to just take pictures in front of the wall with my Modular necklaces, but I couldn’t resist getting a little closer to one of my favorite plants, the Monstera adonsonii!
I had to laugh when I came across this article in the New York Times last week about how foundation is dead because a few days before, I took these pictures wearing only lipstick.
I’m not saying this is my favorite photo I’ve ever taken of myself, but I’m not NOT saying that. I will say that I had so much fun setting up this photo shoot to preview my new Midi Modular Necklace No. 1.
After I made my original Courbe threader hoop earrings, I thought it would be fun to make a Petit version as well. And then I thought it would be fun to make both pairs in gold so I could photograph them with this burgundy dress and some philodendron cuttings. And I was right on all counts!
I’ll admit I’ve never been a fan of baseball hats. Other hats, yes, but baseball hats, not so much. Something about the length of my hair for most of my life just never seemed to work with them. But now that my hair is long, I’m all in! Especially when spending time outside camping or on the water.
And since I photographed the Verdant threader hoop earrings in gold with a fancy dress when we were camping at the beach last week, I thought I’d show how you can wear them with something a little more casual – like a beachy trucker hat!
